A great trick to use with silks. Have the children pretend to color the book by waving silks around the book. Then have another volunteer wave a white silk to erase the pages, and yet another volunteer can use black and white silks to make the original pages reappear. Black and white pictures in a book get magically colored with haphazard streaks of color. Then all the colors fill the pictures completely in a more artistic form. Next all the pages become completely blank. Finally the black and white pictures reappear.
